Amen

‘Amen’, a short film which got selection at several film festivals including Kaashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival, is under fire from the Censor Board of Film Certification for allegedly explicit contents. The Censor Board has rejected to pass the film with the controversial gay sex scene.

The film features the world of internet where two boys Andy and Harry meet for the first time. Andy is a sophisticated rich banker who probably is caught at the wrong place while Harry is happy with the way life is shaping for him. Both decide to meet one day without knowing that this meeting can change their perspective towards life forever. Their interaction gives birth to a situation where they explore some truths about their individuality and more importantly about their sexuality.

The Censor Board wants the makers to come up with a version that shouldn’t feature the love making scene between the two protagonists. However, the makers are nonchalant about the Censor Board’s issues with the film and have come with a new promo that features clippings from several other Bollywood films with more nudity and bold content.
